The INVOS® System family: established 1996.

The INVOS® Cerebral/Somatic Oximeter provides real-time monitoring of site-specific blood oxygen saturation in the brain and other body tissues to help surgical and intensive care teams detect and correct ischemic problems that can lead to complications and poor outcomes. It is the only commercially available noninvasive oximeter to allow simultaneous brain - body monitoring via up to four data channels (sensors). INVOS® System technology is applicable to all patients: adult, children, infants and neonates in any clinical setting where the brain and body are at risk of reduced-flow or no-flow ischemia.

The Two-Channel System comes standard:**
  • Cerebral/Somatic Oximeter, Model 5100C
  • Preamplifier with Cable, Channel 1 & 2, Model 5100C-PA
  • Reusable Sensor Cable, Channel 1, Model RSC-1
  • Reusable Sensor Cable, Channel 2, Model RSC-2
  • USB Flash Drive, Model 5100C-USB
  • Power Cord

** For Four-Channel Monitoring, Preamplifier 5100C-PB and Reusable Sensor Cables RSC-3 and RSC-4 must also be ordered.

The system comes pre-calibrated and ready to use in 30 seconds. Boasting a size and weight similar to a transport monitor, the system does not compromise space at the patient's bedside or in the operating room.

SAFB-SM Disposable Adult (>40 kg) SomaSensor®

Adult SomaSensors® are disposable transducers capable of producing and detecting optical data from the patient, converting that data to electrical signals and sending them to the INVOS® System where they are displayed as a regional oxygen saturation value, called rSO2.

Adult SomaSensors® are:
  • For patients >40kg
  • Latex free
  • Designed with medical-grade, hypoallergenic patient adhesive
  • Disposable; designed for single use
  • Non-sterile
  • Applicable for both cerebral and somatic monitoring

SPFB Disposable Pediatric (<40kg) SomaSensor®

Pediatric SomaSensors® are disposable transducers capable of producing and detecting optical data from the patient, converting that data to electrical signals and sending them to the INVOS® System where they are displayed as a regional oxygen saturation value called rSO2.

Pediatric SomaSensors® are:
  • For patients <40kg
  • Latex free
  • Designed with medical-grade, hypoallergenic patient adhesive
  • Disposable; designed for single use
  • Non-sterile
  • Applicable for both cerebral and somatic monitoring

OxyAlert™ NIRSensor for Infants and Neonates (<40kg)

OxyAlert™ NIRSensors for Infants and Neonates. Somatic (left), Cerebral (right) Sensors.

The OxyAlert™ NIRSensor has a small adhesive pad and a gentle hydrocolloid adhesive for use with infants and neonates. Unlike adult and pediatric SomaSensors®, the cable is integrated, so Reusable Sensor Cables are not required. The sensors are disposable transducers capable of producing and detecting optical data from the patient, converting that data to electrical signals and sending them to the INVOS® System where they are displayed as a regional oxygen saturation value called rSO2.

OxyAlert™ NIRSensors are:
  • For infants and neonates <40kg
  • Latex free
  • Designed with a gentle, medical-grade, hypoallergenic hydrocolloid patient adhesive
  • Disposable; designed for single use
  • Non-sterile
  • Uniquely designed for cerebral and somatic monitoring

Portable Roll Stand

The INVOS® System may be affixed to a rolling stand to provide convenient bedside monitoring and/or easy portability throughout the hospital.
  • Item weight: 34 lbs
  • Dimensions: height: 55", width: 19.5", depth: 17.5"
  • Features power cable port, storage bin with integrated handle, cable/ pre-amp hooks, quick-release mounting plate and die cast base with 4" casters

Perfusion Pump Swivel Arm

An available swivel arm attaches the INVOS® monitor to the perfusion pump or anesthesia machine, making monitoring readily accessible and convenient.

Field Test Device and Sensor Cable Test Device

The field and cable test devices allow for functional testing of the INVOS® System and its cables prior to use. Only Somanetics-supplied field and cable test devices should be used with the INVOS® System.

USB Flash Drive

The Somanetics USB Flash Drive allows real-time data from the INVOS® System to be transferred to and stored in a standard computer. Only Somanetics-supplied USB Flash Drives should be used with the INVOS® System. Store bought USBs lack the requisite programming to perform properly.

VueLink Adapter Cable

The VueLink Adapter Cable allows the INVOS® System to be connected to a Philips VueLink Interface Module, making patient data available in one, at-a-glance view.

Operations Manual

The Operations Manual provides information on how to use the INVOS® System and more. You will find information on installation, operation, warranty, maintenance and clinical studies as well as an indexed glossary. NOTE: International Operations Manual is also available.
