Mission
The mission of Somanetics is to dramatically improve the outcomes of individual patients by providing proven, evidence-based medical products that are safe, reliable and easy to use. We are committed to advancing the field of medicine by introducing new or improved products that are based upon clinician demand, delivered by a world-class sales and clinical team, and that provide a return on investment to shareholders that support our mission.
Vision
Our vision is one where critical care clinicians and their patients are largely free from life-threatening ischemic complications that are relatively common today. Our aim is for the INVOS® Cerebral/Somatic Oximeter to become a standard of care in cardiac surgery, pediatric and neonatal intensive care units and other critical care settings for the benefit of clinicians, patients, employees and shareholders.
Values
Leadership
Somanetics was the first to bring cerebral oximetry to the U.S. market in 1996, but that is only where leadership begins. It takes both the right products and the right people to maintain leadership. We continue to drive market innovations through non-stop evolution of our technology, investment in departments central to business growth, and expansion of a best-in-class Field Sales and Clinical Education Team.
Evidence-Based Medicine
Somanetics is guided by more than 600 evidence-based studies and clinical references featuring the INVOS® System, and actively pursues new research discoveries with clinicians and health care institutions. Our highly-qualified Field Sales and Clinical Education Team is committed to bringing forth this objective evidence so clinicians can make informed decisions for their practice and their patients.
Safety and Quality
Ensuring that our products are safe and repeatedly deliver quality performance are top priorities. A significant amount of research, development and testing is performed before any Somanetics device is sold.
Ethical Business Practices
Somanetics respects industry regulations, hospital protocols and patient rights in all we do. Upholding these principles results in a high standard of professionalism from our people and activities.
